This is the title of the presentation given by Claude Gosselin, Executive and Artistic Director of CIAC at the University of Western Ontario in London, on October 21st , 2010.
What are the subjects of contemporary art today? What is its role in public areas? How does it use new technologies? How can we ensure that contemporary art is viewed in museums, festivals and biennials?
While Claude Gosselin does not claim to provide preconceived solutions, the CIAC's director hopes to promote an examination of the current issues associated withcontemporary art, i.e., setting up presentation venues, concerns of a young generation about artistic production and use.
