Over the 2014-2015 season, CIAC-Montréal will hold Conversations with… artists and art professionals: These conversations will focus on contemporary art and will present testimonials of experiences between Québec/Canada and China. Claude Gosselin, CIAC General and Artistic Director will elaborate on his recent meetings in China and the promotion of artists in that country. Date : Tuesday, November 25th at 6pm. Venue : Cinémathèque québécoise, salle Fernand Seguin. Suggested contribution.

Two major Montreal artists passed away in October : Denis Juneau (http://www.galeriesimonblais.com/fr/artistes/modernes/juneau) and Daniel Dion (photo opposite) (http://www.oboro.net/fr/page/memoriam-daniel-dion-1958-2014). We take this opportunity to offer our most sincere condolences to their family and friends. We greatly admired both of them for their art and for their commitment to the community.

The CIAC-Montréal is pleased to announce an exhibition of young artists, Inks of Jinling, from the Nanjing Painting and Calligraphy Academy from October 27th to 30th of this year. Note that the Inks of Jinling's exhibition is presented only for three days, from 27 to 30 October 2014 at 1329 Greene Avenue, Westmount. Works are produced with Indian Inks, bringing together a traditional medium and a contemporary artistic outlook.

CIAC-Montreal wishes a great success to the BNL MTL 2014. In its program we highlights the participation of artists Krzysztof Wodiczko, Lawrence Weiner, Nicolas Baier, David Tomas, John Massey and Jean-François Prost (in Adaptive project with Jean-Maxime Dufresne shares). These artists were guests of the CIAC-Montreal during Les Cent jours d'art contemporain de Montréal or in previous BNL MTL. Opposite : Krzysztof Wodiczko, projection on Place Ville-Marie, Montréal, 1985, Les Cent jours d'art contemporain de Montréal. Krzysztof Wodiczko is presented at the BNL MTL 2014.
